Spain won the 2026 World Cup. On Polymarket's Ballon d'Or market, that isn't showing up as an edge for Spain's players. Harry Kane - whose England lost in the semi-final - is the favorite at 41.3c, up 5.2c on the day. Lamine Yamal, Spain's breakout teenager and a World Cup winner, sits second at 24.9c after dropping 11.2c in the last 24 hours. Rodri, who won the tournament's Golden Ball as its best player and already holds the 2024 Ballon d'Or, is third at 13.5c. The event has traded $3.9M in the last 24 hours on $6.9M of liquidity - serious size for an award that will not be handed out for three months. The gap between the top three tells its own story: the market is not simply ranking who won the biggest trophy this summer. Ballon d'Or, Golden Ball, and the reigning holder are three different things

He's still only third, at 13.5c. Kane's case rests on a full season of trophies at Bayern plus a deep England run; Yamal's rests on being the most electric attacker at the tournament, at 19. Two very different order books for a 16-point gap

The top of book shows how much conviction sits behind each price. Kane's market quotes a tight 40.9c/41.7c, with about $230 resting on the near side of that spread.
